That being said, with a background in MtG the mechanics weren't too hard to figure out on an individual level imo

Speaking of Codex and Magic, I'm ludicrously happy that I can target specific creatures. That was one thing that always drove me batty with Magic and a significant, mechanical reason why I never really played.

Wait, I don't get that - I only played MTG a little, waaaay back, but surely you could target individual creatures?

Yeah... what are you guys talking about with this "target creature" thing? MtG has that on like, so many friggin' cards?

I mean that when I attack with something like a lantern kami, I couldn't choose which of my opponent's creatures it attacked. That was incredibly weird to me. However, I can see where I was unclear about what I meant. I didn't mean it lacked effects where you could choose the target. OOPS.

Yeah, attacking specifically is what flagrantangles is referring to. In MtG, you attack your opponent and they make blocking decisions, but Codex's attacks are more like Hearthstone.
I KNEW WHAT YOU MEANT

Ah ok, yeah I see what you mean. I assume that works in Codex because it's a slim-deckbuilder and unit churn isn't harmful. If my Fancy Pants Tiger gets killed by a shitty little deathtouch dude it's not super upsetting because there's a chance I'll have him out again within a turn or two. In MTG, once a creature is killed, it pretty much stays dead (graveyard shenanigans notwithstanding), so investing a huge amount of time and energy into something that could be easily killed off by your opponent would lead to Bad Feels.
Maybe? I don't play MTG, nor have I played Codex yet, so I might be way off

So, in Codex, when a Unit attacks another Unit, they both do damage to each other (typically), so they very often trade like that. Therefore, even if the decks didn't cycle, it'd be essentially fair and the Feels would even out.
That's what it's like in Hearthstone, too.

I should be productive too! All of my friends abandoned me for stupid things and now I'M ALL ALONE. Time to study the minutiae of Chinese grammar.

I was spending some time researching early Christian theology and the schisms that split the church in the first few hundred years after Christ. Then my fucking friends tell me to come over. Bah.

I made a shitload of pasta sauce, ate some of it and put the rest in the freezer. If I can tidy my room up a bit I'm happy to call today a success.

I have friends coming up this weekend for games and haunted cornfield adventures.
Also, this past weekend I uploaded a large quantity of Yomi videos to my channel because I was SO ALONE.

I don't think I have time to watch all the Yomi videos that are being made any more. I barely have time to keep up with my own upload schedule! Curse my new-found social life.

oh I just realized we're on tapatalk, sweet, another advantage over sg.com SG doesn't have Tapatalk? Confirmed unusable 0/10. So I'm tired almost all the time. I think it might just be one of those wonderful bouts of depression hitting me with a sneak attack. Work is quite hectic too, though.

how do I get one of those cool titles on my name? what even should I be? Hidden deep within the confines of "Edit Profile", a mysterious text field will appear to you. You must beware the dark powers that fuel it, for with careless use you might end up looking like an idiot. Or you'll get a sweet title. Also you should obviously be "snoc".

I would rather have not enough time to watch Yomi videos than watch too many Yomi videos AND not engage with people!

Social life keeps me from playing much Yomi casually, so people need to keep running constant tournaments so that I always have a reason to play Yomi competitively, or I'll never play Yomi. And I would like to keep playing Yomi.

I've stopped playing yomi casually it seems. It's way more effort to launch the game via steam to hang out in yomi than it was to load the web client so I only launch yomi if something prompts me to (tournament, either playing or watching)
It's kinda sad when I think about it

yomi ded gaem v sad
Also thanks flaggles, but if Yomi is good for anything at the moment it's making me feel dumb and bad. Need more games to git gud! But see the previous for a problem there.
I have however placed my Yomi decks and the rulebook in my bag to take to the ECSS games night tonight and will leave them in there for the main uni board game society thing tomorrow. We'll see if I can get some new players!

Does anyone else find that their facial hair contains colors that are not their typical hair color? Like, my beard is mostly my hair color but then there are sprouts of blond, red, and black as well. You mean... like grey?
