Attilian 4 - 3 CloudCuckooCountry (in losers bracket) ->> ->> <<- <<- <<- (This game ended with: crash bomb into normal block => crash bomb into normal block => Rook is now 49 hp; I power up for two Aces => Max Anarchy into Stone Wall) ->> ->> The Rook counter pick had me on the ropes. Good, close set. Good games CCC!

Yo, game 2 I conceded like five turns in because I was on the verge of tilting and needed to change the nature of the yomi cycle between us fast before that happened. Then I won three games. First time in my career that concede has been a beneficial strategic move.

Sad but true! I am still a practice dummy. @lettucemode ONI > FaceOnMars VEN @lettucemode ONI > FaceOnMars VEN @lettucemode ONI > FaceOnMars VEN @lettucemode ONI > FaceOnMars VEN I did remember to block with my high cards against ONI though. Can't blame it on too many bad card draws but I can blame it on some! Just failed to hit confirm when I had the cards to do some real damage. Well played lettucemode!

lettucemode 4-0 FaceOnMars > x4 GGs FaceOnMars, thanks for the games. I do not fault you your frustration with this set. It's very tough for Vendetta to deal with Onimaru pressuring his hand when his draws aren't so great. I also know Vendetta pretty well (or used to) and so I went for things like guard crushing the turn after you showed me a 2, and most of them ended up working out. GL in your next games!

thehug0naut vs Mystic Deadman ->> ->> <<- ->> <<- <<- ->> thehug0naut wins 4-3 This was a real Yomi red-eye as I was just awake and Mystic Deadman was just going to sleep! I think Rook vs Oni is a really tense but fun MU so it was great to slug it out here. My little bit of time spent playing Oni really helped me with guessing his intent/hand. Or at least it did until he mixed it up when I was 3-1 up! He came back so strong and I was sure his comeback was sealed when my only CMB attempt (full stealth draws!) was punched out in the last match, but thankfully I managed to recover from it and make up the damage. Then I clutch drew a sweet sweet 5-block to take the set. Awesome fun games overall, though you did get shafted Joker wise friend . Well played for almost taking it from 3-1 down!

Hope was lost after game 1, lemme tell ya. Gwen going down in a close game is a real downer for someone who worships the one true waifu. Thankfully, though, having DieMyDarling/IamNobody talk me into broadening my horizons helped me to discover my love for playing the closest thing to a grappler I'll ever come to play. If I had a better draw in the last game, I'm pretty sure I would've made it more of a slugfest than I was able to. Regardless, exhausted, auto-pilot Yomi is some of the best Yomi that can be Yomi'd. GGs d00d, and good luck the rest of the way.

Forgive me if I'm wrong, but I thought the consensus was that Arg beats BBB? And beats BBB pretty hard? I never agreed personally, always thought it was kind of an awful time, but is the overall opinion now that Arg doesn't really beat BBB?

I never agreed personally, always thought it was kind of an awful time, but is the overall opinion now that Arg doesn't really beat BBB? I share your opinion that it's fucking painful to play. I think Arg technically "beats" him, because there's a lot of options BBB has to be scared of in the neutral IMO. I'm not sure how to actually evaluate the full matchup though, but I as BBB felt fairly comfortable playing it. Just hard to get into range sometimes.

historical results say 4.5 for Arg (17-21), but I imagine that it hasn't been explored much except by Arg or BBB specialists. Seems like BBB should have a relatively difficult time getting to range, but then Q is really, really mean at range?

ExSeth 4-0 over Kraetyz > > > > I picked Arg because I really wanted the mirror in round one, but Kraetyz decided to counterpick himself out of it for some reason. I got off a bubble shield on turn 1 and I think Kraetyz let it get in his head for the rest of the set. I hope we get a chance to play again in the near future so I can get mollywhopped like I should have been in this set. GGs, Kraetyz, and I wish you luck.

Bearsona has dropped from the tournament due to personal life requirements. Así es la vida! Anywho, that means that pingwarrior advances to the next round in the lower bracket.
Additionally, it looks like Shax will be getting another free advancement since enomus has failed to respond to the scheduling conversation. I will, once again, wait until 12:00 P.M. CST before committing to that, but it seems assured that Shax will be advancing once again.

Zejety vs fodazd< < > < > > > Great set. The Gwen x Grave rounds were particularly entertaining. There was an uncanny amount of [Shadow Slice VS Teapots] reveals and almost as many [True Spark Arc VS Burnbarrow]s! My Ace-interrupting spree continued when my Slices kept hitting Clockwerk Soldiers. Game 5 was super scary because I did not draw a Joker (15 cards left in the deck) and fodazd had known TPoSs for a large portion of the late game. Game 6 was cleanly split in the middle. fodazd got a huge life lead but I somehow managed to recover with A LOT of 10 blocks and Gwen damage. The result came down to the last combat reveal (6hp vs 6hp)! GG
