flagrantangles wins 4-0 vs Zqxx Pahfecto! I went into this match worried out of my knickers. I had just played Zqxx in the 19XX tournament run by the marvelous mysticjuicer himself and lost to him. This time around I think I was able to get the bead on his playstyle and just get the #reads. The first match was pretty soundly in my court. There were a few missteps, but, for the most part, I took my damage when I could because advancing evenly with Arg favors Arg. The second match he switched to Vendetta and I am not a huge fan of fighting Vendetta with Quince, but I've done it before so I'm not unfamiliar with the matchup. However, Zqxx switched up his usual style on me so I was readjusting, eventually I got back into the swing of things. Of course, 2 jokers really help with that. I was able to close out the match but it was very close at the end. The next match I was feeling more comfortable fighting Ven. I 5-poke an opening King throw and everything proceeds smoothly from there for me. I was basically right on all of my reveals and while Acrobatics made a couple of things harder for me, I was still able to return to my normal Spin-To-Win gameplan. I closed this match out without taking any damage. Hoorah! For our final match, Zqxx returns to Arg. This fight was a little less steady. He opened more aggressively than I expected him to and I had to change some plans. There were some spins where I overanalyzed and got punished. Quince, however, can really turn things around with the right cards. I'm able to use successful J-Spins to close out the match. GGs Zqxx! I look forward to future matches!

I'll be honest, I didn't realize that times earlier than 11am on Sunday even existed.

Tonight would be the most convenient night for me, but if that's not good, most anytime after noon on Saturday should be fine.

thehug0naut vs FaceOnMars >> K, block, KK opening! Sorry, not sorry >> 5 block AAA to win! >> Stealth AA vs AAA reveal >> Ven does a lot of 5 and 6 pokes but Rook has dem speedy 4s and 5s for a reason thehug0naut wins 4-0 This is a matchup with a lot of back and forth that I quite like. However I started game 1 with 2xK in hand and drew another on turn 2!! So my opponent was facing this monster hand down with little MU experience and an unfortunate Ven hand that I essentially checkmated. Recovering mentally is always difficult when the game throws (lol) that at you but FaceOnMars persevered and was down right lovely to play. Look forward to seeing you around more, new yomi friend

My winrate against Yomibot Rook is about 1 - 6. Expecting to not do very well in this mu I at least tried to keep a sense of humor. But near the end it was like being beat to death with my own severed arm. Hey New Yomi friend: You owe me at least one casual set, slow timer, with coaching chat. I may then forgive .

GGS Dawph! Yeah Game 2 i give it away by not jokering the 5 poke when i knew u had 3 aces in hand Game 4 was the most close one of all and was actually a really fun match up had 4 aces in Hand the whole time but could not pull the trigger because of Final Authority. Sorry to heard that the last game u drew into so little throw! To be honest was not too happy about picking Zane but more sad i abandon my boy Degrey but when i face someone i never played before i cowardly pick safe bets Dawph clearly the better player in fact im more excited for when we will face each other again as the matches can only be better!

I actually thought you made some decent adjustments later in the match, but yeah I could tell the mental windmill crusher was still in effect I'm off to bed now (it's after 3.30am here why am I still awake!?) but I'll hit you up soon to deliver the promised coaching

scymrian > attilian 4:3
Zane > Degrey (PERFECT) Zane > Zane Zane < Zane Setsuki > Zane Setsuki < Zane Setsuki < Zane (Anarchy, I think it was perfectly hidden) Setsuki > Zane
I logged in for the game, and saw Attilian practicing his Degrey against an Onimaru bot, so I did the sporting thing and shat on him with a pre-game counterpick. I'm not gonna apologize - if it was the wrong thing to do, then why did I score a perfect?
Two games of Zane mirrors, split between us, so I switched to Setsuki for the rest of the set. According to the MUCMUC (ALL GLORY) it's even, but I've always liked having the Setsuki side. The 7-King Vortex feels especially grimy against Zane, but yeah, he does have PLENTY of counterplay, so it's probably correct at even. The Setsuki/Zane games were very tense, and we wound up splitting those, too. Game six was lost to a sick wakeup Anarchy, I think was perfectly hidden, although maybe he did power up for one of them and I just missed it. I should work on my attentiveness.
GGs, Attilian!

It would have been abhorrent to not make the counterpick imo. I wasn't actually too bothered about facing Zane with my DeGrey, hence why the public practicing - although that didn't work out so well. The Max Anarchy in game six came from a gold burst and then a single ace power-up. So I was playing that game thinking you knew I had MA, trying to threaten and counter-play and all that. I thought I was losing the mind games, but it turns I was just playing against myself. A funny thing happened late in game seven. I had a big life lead and decided to C&D Setsuki's single card, guessing that by that stage Scymrian would have a 7 there. Turned out it was just a Jack, but he did draw a 7 off that C&D. things Good games Scymrian! Good luck in the rest of it.

Three Headed Monkey vs Shax >> << >> >> >> 4 - 1 Thanks for the games! It was a fun set, with some very close games that went down to a coin toss. Bad luck with those. Also you set up some really good eval traps to get your AA in qt crucial moments. Edit: Corrected set score.

Hmmm. I was actually counting on my possible match vs. People's Favorite MysticJuicer as MY chance to turn heel, develop some character, maybe settle on a main, but now that we're officially matched up, this plan seems slightly more complicated. I hope the writers know where they're headed with the ExSeth storyline, because it kind of seems like a hamfisted mess right now.
On a more serious note, though, I'm pretty stoked about this upcoming round.

flagrantangles So it looks like my opponent for next round is based off of the only match from last round that hasn't been recorded yet, which is between snoc and enomus . However, I think I've heard that enomus hasn't been showing up or something? Has this round been determined by forfeit yet or such?

Southpaw Hare I actually just finished resolving that match in light of enomus' repeated absences. Furthermore, I have sent out the match conversation for you and snoc. We're proceeding according to plan.
