Hello, everyone! I've agreed to take on a little bit of work for Kraetyz when it comes to the forum design. I'll be working on fixing the colour scheme for the website. However, I want it to look how YOU guys want it to look, with a little bit of help on my part. This will be an open discussion about this topic and anyone can join in. I heard you guys like darker colours ( as there was a bit of an uproar with Kraetyz made the forum mostly white ) and that you liked the colour scheme of the FS forums. I, personally, advise trying to keep away from that colour scheme just because you want to be able to set yourself apart from that forum, but we can definitely head in a similar direction. Anyway, let me know! I'll be posting a few ideas in this thread as well, so make sure to check back!

idea: could be cool to model on codex's white spec colours, so the main website backplash could be white (maybe with a nice rough/ paper texture eg: www.paperworks.uk.com/images/R1W.jpg ) text body blocks could be dark grey (light grey default text) i.imgur.com/jxCqgq3.png (for rook) with medium blue i.imgur.com/doO0tX1.png (grave) accents and either sets's i.imgur.com/rASP1y3.png rust/red/orange cloak or violet for her hair for titles/links etc. edit: i guess i dont know how to use the yomi emotes? edit2: this is what im trying to describe. (for colour that is, ignore bad text and layout garbage )

When I have the option to configure the look of forums, I usually choose a dark gray background with white or light blue text.

I definitely prefer a darker background with lighter text than the other way around.

I much prefer a light background with dark text. I thought the FS forum colour scheme was very hard to read, because of the colour and font.
I'm using a theme here called Morningstar just now. I guess that is just temporary while you work. Anyway, I think it is nice and light, without being too bright. The turquoise border and title bars look like a bit of an odd choice, but I could live with it. (Edit: not even that odd tbh, text colour and background is all that really matters and the border doesn't clash or anything)
Would it be possible to have at least one light and one dark theme option for the forum? Then most everybody would be happy.
Edit: And thanks for doing this work LorisA!

I am definitely a fan of both light/dark themes so people can choose. That might be a lot of work though.
I would be ok with something neutral, as long as the background isn't stark white (or anything close to it).

I really dislike the patterned background in the example you put up though. Looks like early 2000s web design

After the initial shock, I am starting to like this blue color scheme.
It also compliments (complements?) my avatar pretty nicely.

I would be delighted to see a rich, dark red theme because I'm not the biggest fan of blue, but the current color scheme is quite palatable so I'm fine either way.

It also compliments (complements?) my avatar pretty nicely. Complements, from the same root as complete (to fulfil). Although I just looked up the origin of compliment and it's actually from the same root in a weird way, from the Italian complimento 'fulfilling a required social courtesy'. Huh, neat. I shall be practicing my German all this week at Essen. So far I've added to my phrasebook: Haben sie eine Englishe sprachversion? Wie viel kostet das? Wo ist dein Luftkissenfahrzeug? And with much pointing and gesturing: das, bitte!

The color could be worse than this blue. I like darker earth tones.
