When the Cadet dies with the -1/-1 Rune you'll be forced to put another -1/-1 Rune on the Mox which will exhaust it before it attacks. If you swap the order of them attacking and do so before you play another unit you can do pretty much the same turn but the Mox takes 3 -1/-1 Runes so should end up back as a 2/1.
